| Q: |
What
will one Fresh Air Machine help cover? |
| A: |
The
Fresh Air Machine is recommended
for most residential rooms. That is,
it is designed to help cover one room
area.
You
should only expect to cover one room
with any air purifier you buy, regardless of the brand or model, and even if the
advertising claims otherwise.
In fact, no single air purifier (of
any brand) can effectively cover an
entire home, regardless of the size
of the machine. That's simply because
purifiers cannot clean through walls,
doors, and a home's many obstacles.
For this reason, your best option will
always be to use individual room air
purifiers, with one in each room.
You
will also want a space-saving, compact
unit designed to handle a typical room
of up to app. 500 square feet. As a
general guideline, the vast majority
of all residential rooms, for example,
are well under 500 square feet.
Experience
has shown that purifiers designed with
this range are among the more practical
and have the best value. They can effectively
cover most residential rooms, and they
tend to be much quieter and more portable
than inefficient larger units. They
are also easier and more affordable
to maintain.
What
this means is that you should enjoy better air
in all of your rooms with optimal placement
and maintenance of the units. You may
also decide that one unit is completely
satisfactory even when used in an unusually
large area. For extremely big spaces
(such as completely open floorplans),
it's very simple to use 2 compact purifiers
which are easy to place wherever you
want them. This will distribute the
results more evenly and be much quieter
than using a single larger, louder,
and less efficient unit. If you're planning
on getting units for each room, as many
people do, then you can expect even
better results.

| Q: |
What types
of pollutants will the Fresh Air Machine
help with? |
| A: |
The
Fresh Air Machine is designed
to help with a wide range of typical household
pollutants. This includes but is not limited
to airborne particles, dander, and
other microfine pollutants found in the
home. Since there are thousands of pollutants
in the air we breathe, the Fresh Air Machine
uses 7 different technologies to help
combat them. That many technologies makes
a real difference.

| Q: |
What
is Air Blanket™ Technology? |
| A: |
Air
Blanket cleaning technology is a superior method of producing natural,
charged cleaning particles. This is
made possible through the use of natural
earth fiber containing hundreds of individual
micropoints. These hundreds of natural
emitters help to recreate the charged
particles that are lost in unhealthy
urban environments. The result is a
healthy rich, protective air layer that
helps to reduce suspended particulate
even outside the unit itself. While
other purifiers are limited to cleaning
only a portion of the air that passes
through them, Air Blanket technology
actually extends the reach of the purifier
itself. This means the Fresh Air Machine
can actually perform far beyond what
most air purifiers can reach. This is
an obvious advantage.

| Q: |
How
does the Fresh Air Machine help with
tobacco smoke? |
| A: |
The
Fresh Air Machine can be quite
useful for smokers. Keep in mind, however,
that where there is a persistent source
(such as from regular smoking) no purifier
is likely to eliminate it completely.
This is simply due to the fact that
smoke is continually being re-introduced
in such environments. Air purifiers
cannot extract from surfaces or objects,
so nearby surfaces that have previously
absorbed smoke particulate will still
retain and emit it for awhile. This
applies to all air purification devices.
The good news is that you can certainly
cut down on the second hand smoke, which
is a huge benefit.

| Q: |
Will
the Fresh Air Machine help with airborne
dog or cat dander? |
| A: |
Yes. Dander is just another type of particulate,
or airborne matter. Your Fresh Air Machine's
Air Blanket Technology works nicely
to reduce airborne matter. In fact,
you'll probably wonder how you ever
got along without it. Keep in mind that
with free-roaming pets, it's not likely
that you will completely eliminate dander,
since pets will occasionally leave it
behind on surfaces. However, if you'd
like to reduce the dander you're being
forced to breathe every day, the Fresh
Air Machine is a great choice.

Air Machine Operation |
| Q: |
How
quiet is the unit? |
| A: |
Very quiet. Most people never notice it operating.
Evening running continuously in Constant
Clean mode, the Fresh Air Machine's
sound level is just above the range
of a human whisper. That means it is
almost undetectable over normal ambient
room sound. And, the unit incorporates
a unique air-dampending design. This
allows for maximum results with minimum
sound. The combination of power and
quietness is excellent.

| Q: |
How
easy is the unit to operate? |
| A: |
One
button is all it takes to begin
making fresh air. You'll be amazed at
how easy it is to operate the Fresh
Air Machine. Your units will actually
arrive ready to use right out of the
box. Simply plug them in, and press
"start." That's all there
is to it.

| Q: |
Is
the Fresh Air Machine easy to maintain? |
| A: |
Very
easy. You'll only need to clean
the easy-rinse particle screen about once a month. This is simple
and only takes a few minutes. Once or
twice a year or as needed, you'll replace
the inexpensive "pop out"
multi-function catridge. This is also
quick and simple. The Fresh Air Machine
is one of the easiest air purifiers
to maintain.

| Q: |
Are
there any expensive replacement parts? |
| A: |
Not
at all. While other machines
require expensive filters (which may
cost $75 or more), the Fresh Air Machine
is among the more powerful, least expensive
units you can own. The state of the
art UV photocell can last up to 12-36
months depending on usage, and costs
just $19.50 for a new one. You'll only
need to replace the unit's low cost
multi-function cartridges about once
every 6-12 months or as indicated. These
practical cartridges help reduce your
re-exposure to pollutants, unlike other
air purifiers which require frequent
manual cleaning and scrubbing. Cartridges
only cost $12.95 for a replacement--quite
a bargain. Then, it's almost like having
a brand new purifier again!

| Q: |
How
quickly does the Fresh Air Machine begin
to work? |
| A: |
The
Fresh Air Machine will begin
working immediately--just press one
button to activate it. It works quietly
and automatically. Many folks are very
surprised when they actually see what
they could have been breathing. Nearly
everyone appreciates the big difference
though: cleaner, fresher air.

| Q: |
How
many air purifiers should I get for
my home? |
| A: |
You'll
probably want one unit for each room. A typical room area is under 500 square
feet. The "one per room" recommendation
applies regardless of which brand of
air purifier you buy. That's because
no single purifier can clean through
walls, doors, and other obstacles. The
only certain way to cover your home
is by placing a compact unit in each
room. Simply add up the number of rooms,
such as bedrooms, living and family
rooms, and other rooms in your home.
This is how many purifiers you will
want to get. Of course, you'll want
to make sure any unit you buy is also
compact and attractive, as is the Fresh
Air Machine.

| Q: |
Why
are multiple technology air purifiers
better? |
| A: |
Pollution
can contain any combination of thousands of different particles
and gases. No single technology can
effectively eliminate all of them. This
is why it is essential that you choose
an air purifier with multiple technologies.
The Fresh Air Machine gives you (7)
of the best air cleaning technologies
made today, including exclusive Air
Blanket technology. It's almost like
having 7 air purifiers in one.

| Q: |
Will
an air purifier help with odors? |
| A: |
Air
purifiers are designed primarily for
particulate control. This is
the main benefit you will receive, and
with today's high pollution levels,
it is the benefit that should be most
important to you. Odor reduction is
only a limited secondary benefit, and
will always vary depending on the type
and source of the odor. It is always
wise to first eliminate the source of
the odor. Otherwise, in the case of
a persistent source (for example, regular
smoking, free roaming pets, leaks, etc.)
you are only likely to see a very limited
reduction, regardless of the purifier
used. Any unit that claims to address
odor specifically may do so by generating
high levels of noxious ozone as a "cover
up." This doesn't actually solve
the problem, it just hides it. And,
while it may desensitize your nose so
you don't notice the odor as much, that
method does have potential negative
health consequences. For this reason,
you should choose an air purifier not
for masking odors, but instead to help
you with today's biggest air quality
problem: pollutants.

| Q: |
How
important is it for an air purifier
to be UL tested and approved? |
| A: |
It
is absolutely essential that
any air purifier you use be UL approved.
If a product does not have UL approval,
it means that product has not or can not pass
strict UL safety tests. Do not be fooled
by "alternative" approvals
which may mean very little. Insist on genuine UL approval.
And, be aware that some products that claim UL approval may
in fact only have a UL approved power
adapter. In that case, the product itself
is not UL approved.
The Fresh Air Machine is fully UL
approved for safety.

| Q: |
Why
are some companies now forcing me to
pay for an unnecessary extended warranty? |
| A: |
More
people are turning down expensive
extended warranties because they they
know they aren't likely to need them.
For this reason, some companies have
started adding the
cost of extended warranties directly
into the price you pay for
the product! This means you are now
being forced to buy
an extended warranty whether
you want to or not. Since modern
electronics can go many years without
needing attention, this is really
not fair. You shouldn't have
to pay for more than what you really
want or need.
Here
is one way to see how much you could
be overpaying. To help determine what
a built-in forced warranty may really
be costing you, simply divide the
product price by the number
of years in the warranty. (For
example, $350 divided by 5 years equals
$70.) Next, subtract this amount from the product price. ($70 from $350
equals $280.) Multiply the remaining
amount by 30%. ($280 times .30 equals
$84). In this case, you may be paying
a whopping $84 for a warranty you are
unlikely to ever need. And for a $150
product, it may not make sense to pay
$30 or more extra for a forced extended
warranty you'll never use.
In fact, if you consider the added cost
of including a forced extended warranty,
it also means the product itself can't really be worth as much as what you
would be paying for it!
A
vast number of product warranties are
typically 90 days to 6 months. Six months
is usually more than ample to determine
if a product is likely to need attention.
However, we go even further. We double that to a full 12 months--an
entire year--at our expense,
just to be absolutely certain. With
the Fresh Air Machine, you'll receive
a real, 12 month warranty with no hidden
extra costs. We won't force
you into buying a non-optional extended
warranty that you don't want or need.

| Q: |
What
are some signs of a quality air purifier? |
| A: |
A
good air purifier should offer multiple technologies
to provide the best results. In addition,
it should feature a high quality insulated
power cord with 3-prong,
grounded safety plug (not a
cheap, thin wire and separate power
adapter). Also look for UL approval. Lastly, insist on a unit that includes
a wireless remote control. These are
all signs of a higher quality product.
The Fresh Air Machine meets all of these requirements.

| Q: |
What
are the big disadvantages of most "plate
type" air cleaners? |
| A: |
Plate
type air cleaners have plates
that must be disassembled and scrubbed
down as often as needed. In some cases,
this might become a daily part time
job. In addition, only the limited
surface area of a plate can
ever collect anything. Air can only flow over and past a plate, never through it. On
the other hand, air purifiers such as
the Fresh Air Machine utilize advanced
cartridges which are up to 100
times as thick as a simple
plate. Air can actually flow into and through cartridges,
where pollutants can be trapped deep inside. This means less
exposure to pollutants, since
you won't be scrubbing down plates every
day. Plus, with cartridges that can
last up to 6-12 months and only cost
$9.50, there's really no need to settle
for just a simple plate cleaner.

| Q: |
Why
is Ozone Shield™ Technology necessary? |
| A: |
Many
common household appliances and electronics
emit ozone. In larger quantities, ozone
can be a lung irritant. In some cases,
the amounts emitted by home appliances
are fractional and of no real consequence.
Such low level emissions will eventually
revert to oxygen. However, as an added
benefit, the Fresh Air Machine incorporates
new Ozone Shield™ technology,
which works to help accelerate the decomposition
of household ozone.

| Q: |
Why
is the Fresh Air Machine superior to
filter purifiers? |
| A: |
Filter-only
purifiers have limited capabilities.
They can only clean the air that passes
through them. The Fresh Air Machine
can not only clean air that passes through
it, but it can also clean air externally.
That means it can knock pollution out
of the air even from many feet away.
It also doesn't require expensive filters.
Instead, it uses advanced multi-function
cartridges that are very inexpensive
(just $9.50, and they can last up to
6-12 months, depending on environment)
. Its compact size and affordable price
makes the Fresh Air Machine the superior
choice over most limited function, typically
unattractive filter purifiers. The Fresh
Air Machine is also custom programmable,
a feature most filter purifiers don't
have.

TOP
| Q: |
Why
is the Fresh Air Machine superior to
simple ionizers? |
| A: |
Ionizers
are typically simple, passive
devices that can only clean using one
method, and by themselves, have their
drawbacks. As with all single technology
devices, one method rarely works completely
all the time. That's why the Fresh Air
Machine has 7 powerful technologies.
So instead of buying several different
machines to do the job, you'll have
all of these features in one unit. It's
more reliable, more affordable, and
more effective.

| Q: |
Does
the Fresh Air Machine offer UV (Ultraviolet)
air purification? |
| A: |
Yes. The Fresh Air Machine's shielded UV
photocell serves to sterilize internal
surfaces of the unit. In addition, it
works as a reactive agent to help keep
the unit's multi-function cartridge
germ free. UV technology has been used
in hospitals and clinics for more than
40 years.

| Q: |
Should
I be skeptical of air filters that can
supposedly last for "years"
without replacement? |
| A: |
Absolutely. There is no way of guaranteeing that
a filter can last for years. This is
because pollution levels vary widely.
It is best to be very skeptical of any
claim that an air filter will be good
for more than 1 year.
Companies
that advertise extremely "long
lasting" filters are often trying
to make them seem less expensive by
suggesting you don't need to replace
them very often. It's better to plan
on replacing filters at least every
6-12 months in all cases. Multiply this
times the cost of the filters (say twice
a year replacement, for example) and
you may get a better idea of your real
cost.
Remember
that filter performance will always
decrease over time. This means that
at the middle of its life span, a filter
will not be quite as effective as when
you first got it. And, in the end, it
is even less effective. It is far better
to use a machine with a less expensive
filter that you can change more regularly.
This way, you know you'll always be
getting good results.
One
of the main reasons that filter units
fail to perform well is because their
filters are not changed frequently enough.
This
is also why we advise never using any
filter (in any machine) for over 1 year,
even if the manufacturer suggests otherwise.
This is the only way to make sure you
are getting the results you paid for.
Since
we are not primarily in the "filter
business," you will find that our
replacement multi-function cartridges
are very low priced. We provide high
quality, laboratory tested multi-function
cartridges as a convenience to our customers
at a very reasonable cost of just $9.50.
Compare this to the inflated prices
of many filters, which can run from
$35-75, and in some cases, $150 or more.
Keep in mind that some companies may
make up to $25 profit on just a $30
filter! Not us; we pass the savings
directly on to you.

What
is H.E.P.A. technology? |
| A: |
H.E.P.A. stands for High Efficiency
Particulate Air. It is a reliable, established
purification technology that can remove
99.7% of pollutants from your air. You
will often see this technology used
in doctors' offices and healthcare clinics.
An air purifier without HEPA technology
is simply not an air purifier. You should
always insist on this proven technology.
The Fresh Air Machine incorporates 7
powerful technologies, including HEPA.
